The guidelines used for this project were:
- It must be as simple and easily reproducible as possible, allowing it to be used for both physical and digital media
- Overall size of the SVG file must not exceed 15kb in all versions
- It must use solely the official colors and typography of the institution
- It must have connection to the local culture
Given the strict self-imposed guidelines, the main task was to search for references and things that were not yet used by other Portuguese institutions in terms of e-sports.
For this project, the raven was chosen as the "mascot" for the e-sport department of the institution. Ravens are present in the coat of arms of the city of Leiria and in a local legend where they were an omen of good luck.
